Amanda was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, where she began serving wine as part of a high-end restaurant job to help pay for college. She was immediately eager to learn more so, while pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies, she travelled to Florence, Italy where she immersed herself in Italian wine studies at the Apicius School of Hospitality. Upon graduation, Amanda spent four years working for the Florida Legislature while continuing to work weekends at a local tasting room for a nationally represented winery and restaurant concept. She left the political world for good in 2018 after earning her Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 3 certification and began looking for more opportunities to build on her career in wine. Amanda worked the 2018 harvest here in the Willamette Valley at Trisaetum and has since decided to make Oregon her permanent home. She was drawn to Lingua Franca after falling in love with the Bunker Hill Chardonnay in a blind tasting.
