Fifty Shades of Gris — The History and Production of Rosé
About this week's webinar:
Rosé wines have a complicated reputation. In Europe, especially Provence, they are revered and celebrated culinary companions. In America, they are associated with semi-sweet translucent magenta wines that "serious" wine lovers turn their nose up at. But all of that has been changing and Rosé is making a comeback as a refreshing wine associated with warm summer weather and backyard barbecues.
In this week's webinar, we will explore the long history (it's way, way longer than you'd imagine) of Rosé wines, their "evolution" from Cote d'Azur darlings through the commercial avalanche of White Zinfandel to the re-emergence of table-worthy Rosés that are the fastest growing segment in the wine industry today.
