A Profound Sense of Place
Lingua Franca was inspired by an extraordinary vineyard site in the Eola-Amity Hills of the Willamette Valley. Our name represents a fine tradition of universal language, bringing people of different backgrounds to common ground – shared conversation, shared enjoyment.
A Note about Racism in our Country
Lingua Franca is founded on the idea of respect for all peoples, regardless of race, heritage or religion. We condemn every act of physical and emotional brutality against minorities, Black, Indigenous, Latinx and people of color.
Our founders, and every member of the Lingua Franca team, support those who are demonstrating against racism and prompting a hard look at systemic bias in America. We hope that the discussions these have prompted will lead to positive changes in our society and government, and to more humane treatment of all.
